DEMOS
The following industry professionals will be demoing at Industry Workshops 17-19th August 2018 in London.
We see the return of Nevena Nikolaeva Nikolcheva this year!
If you have not seen her work, you're in for a treat!
Not only does she design awesome environments for Splash Damage's Dirty Bomb, she also does some of the best landscape paintings out there….
Dina Rebekka Norlund is a Norwegian illustrator and visdev artist who specialises in character design and storytelling. Although she has spent the last few years working in house, Dina has recently gone fully rogue - oops, freelance - to pursue her own projects, including her crowdfunded children’s book Greylegs.
Miles Johnston is one of a kind. A surrealist artist from the UK, Miles tackles subjects of the mind and the human condition in his work with equal parts skill and grace.
Born and raised in Spain, Ricardo Robles is a creative designer whose artistic expertise ranges from concept art to graphic design and prop fabrication. He currently works in the video game industry, staving off the gloom of our decidedly un-Spanish weather with various personal projects.
Rich Carey is a freelance concept artist who specialises in characters & creature design, spending much of his professional life working in the video games industry. He has consumed his own weight in overtime food having worked on several AAA titles and indie projects (including the Total War: WARHAMMER series). He has a breadth of experience in crafting memorable, unique designs with a strong sense of flair that is consistent throughout his work.
After honing his craft to the highest of standards on projects such as Uncharted: Lost Legacy and The Last of Us: Part 2, Concept art prodigy and shape master Balázs Ágoston will be pouring extensive amounts of juice at industry workshops.
Like trying to describe the product of a black market gene splicing experiment between Lucio Fulci, Ridley Scott and David Cronenberg gone horribly wrong (someone dropped psilocybin in the test tube), the remarkable worlds of Decadence Comics defy all bad similes. Reptilian Wizards march eternally through fractalised Grecian wastelands, barbarised by armies of the medieval Un-Dead aeons ago…Curious pantheistic beings exchange unknowable thoughts…Bipedal mutants of an unknown dimension rapidly corrode into dust…A man of inhuman scale topples steadily into a troop of futuristic proboscidean conscripts, guns blazing. And that’s just one comic! Catch Dave (Lando) at his booth and make sure to pick up a print or two…

Fix up and look sharp, because we have none other than Gilles Ketting, IW's super hunk in the building.
If your not lost in his eyes then your certainly lost in his gorgeous brush strokes. That is, if your not already lost in the intense mood of the Ashen falls work, Gille's passion project.
We welcome him back to grace our demo screens and show us all how to do it!
He might even share his brush pack.
Bring a wetsuit, as we are going to get Lost at Sea (see what i did there :P)
Hot off the press, quite literally, the card press that is! we have Mila Pesic here for IW_18. Newly acquired artist of Wizards of the Coast, Mila has a style perfect for Magic: The Gathering and she will be showing us just how its done on the demo screens.
Mila's hardwork and attention to detail make here work a joy to look at, beautiful brush strokes and and exquisite textures, we cant wait to see her Magic cards in upcoming sets.

Join us for a Fusion hard surface demo where Jort will dazzle the crowd with his scifi and tech knowledge!!
This demo is sure to be full of teeth, claws, and scales - don’t forget to bring a sturdy set of armour and loads of healing potions!
There are few artists that live, and paint, out their passions like Khyzyl Saleem. He’s become synonymous with what he loves, and so his work has become a monument to it - each render, photobash or touch up is as beautiful and refined as the automobile he’s paying homage to in it. But we all know this - which is why we all follow him on Instagram in huge numbers. We are delighted to have him demo on our screens at IW V 2018, and can’t wait to see how he sculpts and finishes those epic wheel arches! Welcome back K!
After taking some of this guy's awesome automotive Gumroad Tutorials, and witnessed his amazing eye for industrial detail, we've been keen to get him in front of our attendees. First and foremost, Mike Jelinek is an uber talented designer working for established auto, film and product brands. Secondly, he's a man with a big interest in the future. Bringing his new skillset to IW, Mike will introduce us to the world of VR prototyping in Gravity Sketch, bringing that into Luxion KeyShot and giving it the final touches in 2D. Adding him to an already super talented team in our VR areas is a great pleasure, and as always - we hope to see you there too!
IW organiser, co-host, and lizard slug lord Alex Heath will be taking to the screen to to all how to demo like a pro.
Like a gorilla on a quad bike waving a hand gun, Justin Timberlake aka 67ft Lizard aka Alex Heath is hard to ignore. A cornerstone of the UK Drill scene, Alex went on to study Industrial Design before attending the London Atelier of Representational Art, now accessing a wealth of anatomical and design knowledge to take his character designs to the next level. From London's Opus Artz Concept Art studio to a successful freelance career and fan art fan base, Alex has established himself as a favourite at IW.
Freelance Illustrator from London. Working currently for WOTC and Riot Games. Has curly hair and wears crocs.
Danar Worya is coming to IW to lay down some damage to the Demo Area. We saw him last year strut his stuff down the runway, and in now 2018 - will this Zoolander-level model be able to sit still for long enough to draw anything?
Sean has tricked and painted his way across the globe, and now he’s back at IW with some killer demos of both his art and hopefully some flips. Sean will also be joining Kan on stage to for an Axis art panel discussion.
Well here we go! Bjorn will be joining us to paint and sketch from dawn till dusk. That means he will be able to draw 10,000 trolls, monsters, and other nasties easily. Thats probably to much time for him. Make sure you try slow him down with cider and shots.
VFX guru and 3D juggernaut Gerard Dunleavy (Marvel, MPC, Ubisoft, Legendary, Double Negative, The Mill) is making a triumphant return to IW for 2018 to demo on our Live Screens. Gerard is a favourite face for us at the event with his fresh workflows from VR to realtime rendering, matte painting and concept design and he always delivers.

The quality of Steven Cormann’s (ILM, Axis Animation, Sehsucht, Paramount) work is both highly evocative and detailed at the same time, using a refined 3D to 2D workflow (and now increasingly 4D) learnt during many years as a pro matte painter, 3D generalist and illustrator. Architecture to vehicles, Lebbeus Woods to classic sci-fi Steven kills it every time and he's Demo-ing for all of you at IW!..Peep those environments!!

Leesha will be painting live at the workshop, so if you have a fondness for creature design or simply an appreciation for worryingly good rendering, this will be unmissable.
Henrik will offer an insight into his process and methods for coming up with his crazy dnd inspired creatures and show us how he brings them to life. Make sure to crowd around him at the IW Demo area to roll some D20's and talk fantasy.
Victoria Hall is a concept artist with four years worth of experience working professionally within the industry. She started out in the mobile games industry as a general artist before specialising in concept art.
Do you like vikings, knights, mummies, zombies, and other cool and possibly decaying stuff?
Then have we got a demo for you
Devin Platts is an illustrator and concept artist who has been working in the games industry for nearly 10 years now, contributing to titles for companies such as Gameloft and Hi-Rez studios.
Welcome Dave Neale to the demo stage!
Dave's stylised illustrations always have us in awe, great proportions, juicy rendering and and heavy dose of humour!
We look forward to seeing Dave crack open his bag of tricks and let those crazy creatures jump out the screen. Make sure to take the time to come see him work and have a chat too, he is the coolest guy!
